A contract was signed for the preparation of the Eastern Black Sea Groundwater Planning (Hydrogeological Survey) Report
Tender of “Preparation and Implementation of the Eastern Black Sea Basin Groundwater Planning (Hydrogeological Survey) Report” carried out by State Hydraulic Works General Directorate Geotechnical Services and Groundwater Department was completed and the contract was signed on 14.09.2020 with the participation of State Hydraulic Works officials, Alter management and employees.
In the scope of the tender, geological and hydrogeological status of 52 groundwater sub basins in the Eastern Black Sea Basin boundaries area of 22.868 km2 and covers approximately 3% of the Turkey will be determined with this 2-year duration study.
Within the scope of the studies, the water quality and water budget will be calculated by monitoring the quantity and quality of 135 separate water points (119 wells and 16 springs) in the basin.
Also, in order to compliance with Water Framework Directive of Eastern Black Sea Basin Groundwater Bodies which are defined in 2019 by General Directorate of State Hydraulic Works and in the scope of “Regulation About Protection of Groundwater Against Pollution and Deterioration”, groundwater bodies will be examined. Observational and operational monitoring, pressure-impact, risk, threshold, trend analysis, detailed characterization, measures and precautions will be studied end completed. All studies will be carried out on GIS (Geographic Information System).
