Iğdır Lowland 7.Phase and Additional Fields' Irrigation and Drainage Systems

Iğdır Plain runs parallel to Aras River, border between Turkey and Russia. It covers a large area (more than 50.000 hectars) between Mounth Ararat and Aras River. Soil conditions and climate are very suitable for agriculture.
The project covered app. 8.400 hectar of area in West Igdir. Water was supplied from Aras River with an intake structure (regulator).
